Queiroz Galvao hired the services of Siri Marine during the wet tow of Semi Sub GoldStar.
The marine operations manual of the rig provides limiting accelerations during transit / tow conditions. The limiting accelerations are used to reduce the total risk for the rig. Additional limitations may be given by the Marine Warranty Surveyor for this towing operation.For this voyage Siri Marine will install on board a Motion Monitoring System which will enable the towmaster on board to monitor the actual motions of the rig during the voyage, use this information in his "Decision Making Process" and give clear information about actual versus allowable motions.
